I am a registered member in your website, out of curiosity , i registered my baby in the photo contest held in your site. My baby even came second in the contest , but was not selected as the critics choice .Unfortunately , my baby did not win. Okay , i thought maybe , its the rule . I am a 15 yr old girl and I have this bad Dandruff and it won't go away. I've tried everything that people have told me to try but it doesn't work adn I was wondering if there is something wrong. I was browsing the site when I happened upon an answer regarding beauty/aesthetics that recommended "bleaching the face." I'm so disappointed by this. I'm a medical student and there is definitive, decades-old proof that bleaching products irreversibly damage skin and contain mutagens that lead to skin cancers. Besides that, even if bleaching carried no risks, is that ever the only solution? If you claim to give sound advice, please in the future (1) do your research as to what is safe and what isn't, and (2) concentrate on something that doesn't diminish a person's perceptions of him/herself. I loved your website. I am a step-mom and mom of 4 children and it is very difficult to deal with a child of divorce and then a child with 4 parents instead of two. It is difficult to start visits with dad at the age of 3 and then move in with him 11 years later to find out there is a whole new family with totally different rules and totally different sisters and brothers.

Indian Cinema or "Bollywood" has caught many viewers attention now these days, with the around the world locations or scenes, new faces, musicals, gossips, clothes, and so forth. It is so different with the films in the 90's or earlier with Miss Dixit, SriDevi, Divya Bharti, and actors, actresses, scenes locations, and beautiful clothes, jewelry, costumes, expensive props and tools to make the movies exciting, and more. The movies dealt with Indian social issues (culture/religious). Take any of Miss Shri Devi movies and you can bet that you can sit with the whole family to watch the entire film and enjoy it. Now we see actresses' like Tanisha starring in the New Movie "Nikki N Neal" in short skimpy shorts and a bra, love stories, love stories, and oh yeah more love stories. Whatever happened to scenes with bombs stunts, locations of the "Real" not "Reel" India, Indian culture and religions topics, like the older movies?
Now movies seem to be a big bore and few seem to hit Big in the Box Office, themes of movies more about love and western issues like divorce, triangle love, and such. Even Indian Soaps or Serials have come up with very odd and disturbing issues that majority of Indians don't face in India and here. Many say the soaps and movies are about Indians living abroad. Maybe Indian movies have shifted towards the western Indians, and just maybe it does resemble Indians who face heavy issues in their homes of eloping, dress habits, cheating people in relationships and financial, NRI's getting married with a spouse back home and than that spouse dumps them and gets the greencard?
Is Bollywood turning like Hollywood or Bollywood depicting "Real" issues of Indians who are westernized or living abroad?
Is Bollywood aiding in spreading and educating people around the world about Indian culture and religions or lacking of it?
If our moms and dads are trying to emphasize Indian Values why don't they try to do something about Bollywood?
Is Bollywood depicting the "Real" issues that Indians face or are they trying too hard to be more like Hollywood?

Just to let everyone know who reads the unwanted hair link. If you have unwanted hair, laser hair removal is not a good choice. Laser hair removal is no better than electrolysis. In fact laser hair removal is so new a licensed endocrinologist (someone who looks at your hormones and hair growth) will tell you electrolysis is the closest to complete hair removal as you can get. hi. i bumped into this site around 2 weeks backs and was impressed. there are so many things you have to offer the people who visit your site. i spend hours going through your site each day and i never tire. but i did feel that it would be nice if there was a message board introduced for english profeciency. im sure there are lots of people who will want to look for this forum in your site. the language is foreign to us, yet we use it, so we all would have a lo of doubts and queries about it. so why not help each other on that basis as well when we do the same for the rest of it? each one of us here bond with each other, no matter when we meet. so i guess a message board for this will be very interesting, helpful and innovative.
i love browsing through the message boards. but offlate i realized how much of an exploitation it is!!! people use the message board to get help and opinions. we all help each other online. but i have seen that there are few people who are out there to do MARKETING!!! it is the sickest! one should help a person in agony and distress out right if we really think of helping the person. the message boards are not for marketing and making money! one person with one ID, enters diffeent names and advertises on different forums to different queries, by just using different names posing as if it was advice! and it is so obvious! isnt this cheating?! how do you allow them to do this? isnt it possible for you to streamline them and warn them of such marketing? are you aware of this or have you overlooked it? or are those people doing it with your permission? i feel the whole value of message board is spoilt because of such people. im sure you would'nt appreciate such advertisers who advertise themselves for free (in the pretext of advice) when you do have a separate board in your site as well as your organization to handle advertising? im sure you will try to make the message board a place where people genuinely lend their hand to others for help and a shoulder to support expecting nothing but gratitude, satisfaction and smile in return, which i am sure was the real reason of your created it.

Under Indian Religions, you have listed Mardi Graz as an part of the Christianity religion. This is not the case, because Mardi Graz is only celebrated in New Orleans. In addition to this celebration not being practiced by they whole, there is nothing Christian about this celebration (at least anymore, if there ever was). Hi I was looking on internet to find out if there was anything other then Pregnancy that could possible give me every sign there is including almost 2 cycles missed and come across your site, i seen that you have alot of helpful info on here to help people out but just wanted to say that I also come acroos a question about a blood test that was negative and you told her that if the blood test was negative Then she WAS NOT pregnant, well this is not always the case alot of people do not realize it but even the blood test can be wrong. my sister is due in Sept 2005 she did have her period for the first few months took both urine and (3) blood (beta) test before she finally got a Positive result they did the ultra sound about a week and a half after she found out and it showed that ALL the test before the Pos were not right they were ALL FALSE NEG. and that includes (2) of the blood test. so that just goes to show that every womens body does not produce the hormone fast enough to pick up, my mom had this problem as well when she was pregnant with me and I have also had the problem in fact I believe I may even be going through it now had to have a ultra sound to show pregnancy 2 yrs ago because no test showed pos. but I knew i was going in for another ultra sound in the morning since i am 2 months late hoping it is nothing but a baby. since we have been trying. thanks for your time. i was told thou that even though this has happened in my family it is a rare thing usually blood test will show within 10 days as you said.

As a Counselling Psychologist, I have been handling emotional and adjustment problems for varied age groups. A major part of my experience involves dealing with issues related to school and college students. Counselling for parents has played a major role in this respect. I am very interested in addressing the concerns of parenting through various media. Having one to one sessions in counseling is one of the ways. Writing articles and answering queries of the reader in printed media and the net is another effective way. I have already written articles for the in house magazines and recently published an article in an English daily also. I am looking for a platform on the net also. I hope your site can be that platform.
Besides dealing with emotional issues, I have also handled Career guidance, especially for students making career choices in school. At the college level, I handled classes for Communication Skills and enabled the students to perform effectively in group discussions and interviews for job placements. In the same college, I have been a part of the selection panel for admission for students.
I would like to work out a system with your site for providing material. I would be glad if you could tell me in what forms are you looking for the matter/content- (articles, answering queries, any other way).

Your sit was very informative especially as in our first pregnancy one tends to be illeterate about the subject. would like you to put links or provide information on what mother's can do part time as there are a lot of highly qualified women who would like to work part time in event of a baby. also some kind of career counselling for such kind of jobs would be fantastic e.g. i am a media person what other things can i do on a free lance basis , which kind of companies look out for free lancers etc. a counsellor can help in these aspects. trust you shall at least pay some thought to this as a lot of mothers feel guilty leaving their little ones behind for a gruelling schedule of work.

This is to suggest that on surfing through your site we enjoyed many sections which are wonderfully executed but we also came across certain aspects which require serious attention.
The section of Prayers needs to be looked into from english spelling point of view as certain spellings give absolute wrong meaning thereby changing the entire concept of the shloka. Primarily we also need to differentiate between a stotra and a shloka which has skipped your notice. In Lakshmi Stuti where the word Bramha Swarupini is the original stotra has either been misspelt as shavrupini or giving benefit of doubt the sholka may be having other connotations. Kindly confirm the same so as to clear doubts.
Another suggestion to play safe, would be to adopt devanagri script which you have adopted for Ganesh vandana, to be done so for all stotras and shlokas as these will be better understood by knowledgable people, hence, any place for misunderstanding is minimised.
Rest assured we still feel the site has done a lot to enhance our knowledge and give us certain amount of pleasure.

A very informative and interesting website. I often meet parents of newborns or those very late in the third trimester who had looked in vain for prenatal [antenatal] classes in early pregnancy or even midway through, and found none. There are some out there, run by really qualified people. It would be great if you could list them, citywise, so parents could check them out and benefit from them. They do make a difference to the pregnancy. Ours is in Pune, run at Jehangir Hospital and Medical Center, by a perinatal counsellor and educator[Me!] and a gynaecologist. And a Mom need not be a patient of this hospital to benefit from the program. It's called 'Positively Pregnant', and we are starting our 6th series on April 8th, 2000.

Just explored the site.Indeed it is very informative. I have looked at the site more as a person from the field of child development than a parent.I do feel some more issues are relevant and should be included in your site. For example, specific behavioral problems, more on children8-12yrs.,and also a special focus on adolescence.It would benifit the parent to know some relevant researches or even theorist for that matter.Ultimately websites like yours should Create parent advocacy groups to create better enviornments for childre,s development.
